There are few games that really move you emotionally, and Gears of War 3 did just that. After everything Dom has been through; having to kill his wife to save her, enduring endless battles and struggles he’s faced, he makes the ultimate sacrifice to save his fellow Gears. The whole scene is then set to Gary Jules’ Mad World, making it even more profound… easily one of the most profound moments in gaming.
